Questions
Do I need experience with a tractor?
No. At drop-off we show you the controls and walk around the machine with you before you start. Most people are comfortable within a few minutes.
How much can I use it in a day?
Each rental day includes up to 8 engine hours, measured on the machine's hour meter. That's more than a full day of steady digging for most projects.
Do I really need to call Dig Safe?
Yes, for any digging. New Hampshire law requires notice at least 72 hours ahead, not counting weekends or holidays. Mark the area you plan to dig with white paint or flags first, then call 811 or submit a request at digsafe.com. It's free.
Utility companies only mark their own lines. Private lines like a septic system, irrigation, or power to a detached garage won't be marked, so locate those yourself before you dig.
When do I pay?
At drop-off. Booking online reserves your dates, and you pay the rental and delivery fees by card when we deliver.
What if something gets damaged?
You can add an optional damage waiver when you check out. The full terms are in the rental agreement you sign at drop-off.
Do I need a truck or trailer?
No. We deliver the tractor to your property and pick it up when your rental ends. Delivery is free within 20 miles of Hooksett.
